Can a kid who is flying independently on the Delta airline change flights? If a youngster under the age of 14 is not traveling in the same compartment as an adult who is at least 18 years old, he can be Delta Unaccompanied Minor. The service is not required for kids aged 15 to 17. Only nonstop flights are permitted for children aged 5-7. Children between the ages of 8 and 14 are welcome to board nonstop and connecting flights, however they can only change onto another Delta Airlines flight, or one operated by Delta Connections, KLM, or Air France.
